Overview:
The HP StorageWorks DAT 24 SCSI Tape Drive provides a dependable value-line solution for data protection for smaller servers and workstations. With its economical price the DDS-3 format DAT 24 drive provides outstanding value with a compressed capacity of 24 GB and a transfer speed of 7.2 GB/hr (assuming 2:1 data compression). The DAT 24 comes in a choice of models - internal (which also fits in the 1U and 3U rack-mount kit) external and offline hot-swap array module - to suit most environments. It reads and writes DDS-3 DDS-2 and DDS-1 formats making it compatible with many older drives. The DAT 24 drive is available with a SCSI interface only.
