Hot Plug Tape is an industry first 3.5 tray to hold either a 20/40 GB DAT or an AIT tape device. The carrier has an SCA II type connector for easy installation into a Compaq Server and Rack Mount Enclosure. Hot Plug Tape has the ability to plug into 2-1 hot plug bays or 1-1.6 hot plug bay in all Corporate and Enterprise Compaq Server. Its abilities also expand into the Compaq Ultra2 and Ultra3 external storage enclosure.??Hot Plug tape targets customers who want an internal tape drive but do not have a half-height removable bay available. With the density of servers shrinking the removable bay is vanishing. Hot Plug Tape is the solution to keep the drive in the server.
